I have the Samsung PN63C8000 3D Plasma ... and let me just start off by clarifying that this TV set is fully capable of decoding & playing DTS audio. That is not just listed in the features, but I have personally tested it. I played a Blu-ray disc with DTS Audio - made sure I select DTS as the Audio - and I was able to get audio from the TV. I also connected a USB Drive with an MKV with DTS Audio and played it with the TV's internal built-in media player and the DTS audio played just fine.

However - I am *not* able to get any audio if I play an MKV (or any other media format) that contains DTS Audio via MediaPortal. (I played the same MKV w/ DTS Audio via MediaPortal that I did via an attached USB Drive --- I get audio when I play via attached USB Drive --- but NO Audio when I play it on my HTPC via MediaPortal GUI).

these are my current codec settings ...

I'm using the LAV extension and it works great in decoding all audio codecs (regular & HD).
I get all audio formats through my Receiver ... and I do get Dolby Digital, PCM, etc. through my TV ... but not DTS.

Any ideas?

Just so people are certain, your settings look like this under START menu.

Ray,

My LAV Audio Configuration settings look EXACTLY like the screen shot you posted - except for one exception! I did not have "Use DTS-HD Framing for all DTS types" checked. I have checked it now ... will that make any difference to my ongoing problem?

Thanks.

EDIT:

Ray - I can confirm, checking that DTS-HD framing box did not fix the problem! At this point my settings are exactly the same as you've posted.

No idea, just checking that lav audio config was setup correctly for a more knowledgeable person to answer, more info given, better support ;)
