have just installed a Nova-T 500 dual tuner card.

now.. i can set each tuner to be enabled for TV and for recording.
should i set one card as the "watching" card... and the other card as the "recorder"

or should i have them both set the same ?

also what about priority for each card?

hi dude,

i have two twinhans in my pc - they are both set for viewing and recording and one has a priority of 1, the other is 2 and they are both working perfectly. you should be fine setting up your tuners in this way ... also i had to install the multi tuner patch to get it to work properly but that was the only glitch i had and wasn't even down to mp.

good question - i read somewhere that you should set the priorities differently, 1 and 10 were suggested but i just used 1 and 2. I wish I could give you a proper answer but never the less it all works fine for me so I never really questioned it.

It doesn't really matter what priorities they have, as long as one is higher than the other.
I think it's just human nature to set them very differently (I also use 1 and 10).
    Doesn't really matter though :)

I plan to purchase a hauppauge PVR500 dual tuner card, and I don't know what is this "multi tuner patch"

I run MP 0204. Do I need to install that patch to make the tunners running? Where should I get it and how to install.

Thanks, and please excuse my ignorance

The multi-tuner patch is only required for DVB cards - you don't need it for the PVR500.
