Hi there, this site is handy. Im not 100% sure if this is the correct place to post issues, but think its the closest as cvs is the closest i have come to a working setup.

i have two twinhan dvb-t cards (one ci and one without). the only software (which although it works isnt very user friendly) is dntv live (which works with two cards concurrently, tried and tested so my hardware is ok.). With this i have determined that the 1.2.1.7 drivers are most reliable. all the 1.2.2.x range seem to have problems with jerkiness etc which are not evident in whcl or 1.2.1.7 drivers.#

with a single card everything works fine in all software.

with dual cards everything always breaks. I have tried 1.3, 2.0rc1 and last couple of days worth of cvs releases.

i can always get detection of both cards and signal and autotune fine.

using 1.2.2.7 things almost work, but everything is jumpy (similar to 1.3 versions)

radio seems to work ok though although it takes a few seconds to start up.

whenever the second card is called this appears in the error logs.

DVBGraphBDA: FAILED unable to start graph :0x800700AA

so....

1. how can i help most. i have installed the test tool, but am not sure if my info will be of use if its never been working stable?
2. should i stick with the latest drivers although they do not seem to be as reliable as older drivers.
3. is it a mistake for me to be using cvs at all. i would like to as the improvements are very obvious in all parts of the new version, and i pretty much love the software all round.
4. has anyone got two twinhans working ever?

are tou sure that it's possible ?
in the manual I think that it's says that you can't use two card if they use the bt878 chip, only one card with bt878 is supported by twinhans dvb card

its definately possible. i have had it running with dntv live, and m.soft mce.

unless you mean its not possible with mp. have been searching through all forums for a while and not seen anything saying shouldnt (my eyes are not great though)

attached is radio...

this works jerkily at first. when you click on previous, jerkiness stops and perfect audio. mediaportal crashes although sound continues fine until you end the task.

this is log for attempting to switch channels with two cards configured (only one set with channels). at one point itv started working fine. This caused crash and had to stop/start tv. couldnt get to replicate on other channels. it looks a bit like its not displaying because no signal. signal is fine though (at least for the pace dual tuner, and when using earlier 1.2.1.7 drivers with dntv)

have you got the a link to the manual - i am not sure which one you are talking about. i cant find any references in the mediaportal wiki.

i am pretty sure its not the same as the b878 (btwincap) chip used for analogue tv (although not an expert)

can definately confirm that i have both my twinhan dvb-t cards working in dntv-live. 1 card watching 1 channel, and 1 card watching another channel on a different transponder. Also had mce working recording 1 channel and watching another on another transponder.

thanks for that.
I have checked out the manual, and can only assume that is related to the wdm drivers which definately dont work in tandem.

i have definately had it working and here is a quote from another forum on graphing techniques

http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?showtopic=2182
"I also notice that with these drivers you can have multicard operation, they seem to be able to exist in the same program instance without the major drama's of tunning eg, you can run two VP card filter chains within the same Graphedit. I notice though that it can do this on the first filter chain by unmapping the PSI pids on the demux that is feeding the Transport information filter when the second graph is tunned and it also stops the first Network provider Interface to the TIF preventing you from retuning the first cards filter chain."

But i want MY (notice, one card) to work with MP first, before they fix the dual tuner problem =)

My card is a Twinhan DVB Cab-CI
