DVB-C in Switzerland (1 Viewer)

i'm using a floppyDTV with CAM ( there are several which are working with the floppyDTV ).

CC doesn't give a possiblity to use a smartcard for implementing there channels on a htpc...
the client service just tells *it's not possible, you can only receive our offer with our set top box.*

--> this is not true, as they use nagra1 for scrambling...

so it is possible to receive the channels over dvb-c... but you need a CI on your TV-Card or
just use ProgDVB, where you can use a Soft Cam...

This thread is old, but...

I've found anybody that use his dreambox with a LEGAL card from cablecom and it works. The workaround was to ask a new card for any reason ( my children broke it for exemple).

The card sended by Cablecom was not peered with the cablecom ' mediabox ' so now he can watch digital TV.

My question is : it is possible to use the floppy DTV or a twinhan and this workaround?

Toney, do you think it could work on cablecom or other swiss cable network with that card : >> FloppyDTV C/CI - alltron.ch ?

When it works, I could make a group buy and have it for about CHF 210.-

it does work... or it still does work fine ;o)
should also work on other swisscable networks like GGA etc.

The Card is one thing, the other thing is the CAM

I'm running the FloppyDTV with a Diablo Cam Light ( check satonline.ch for this... )
and you need the Programmer to configurate the Module... --> CAS3 Interface ( also avaiable on satonline.ch )
