Snoopy87 was saying that EPG data is not stored for channels unless you tick them... which is only correct if you have the "store data..." option ticked.
Ah, I think this is where the misunderstanding is coming from. I unchecked the "store data" option and now things seem indeed to work the way they are supposed to. I ticked only very few channels and it appears that other channels are receiving data as you explained earlier.

So in general this option should better be left unchecked. It is so prominent that the average user is likely to misinterpret it as I did. It appears that Sebastiii also fell to this trap.

I am testing it now to see if using the idle grabber is still blocking my system from going into standby.

    Thanks,

Can you do a screenshot of your channel list where it has provider listed too.

Works nicely. Some-finetuning might be needed to select the right channels. UNfortunately the selection dialogue is not displaying the Provider. Often there are several identical names from different Providers in the list and you wouldn't know which one to select.

Unfortunately the idle grabber still prevents the HTPC from entering standby. Currently PS is configured to be controled by Windows. I was not able to set it up in a way to have MePo control the energy states. Any hints how to set up the PS?

The idle grabber should only prevent standby while grabbing though, if you only have 1 or 2 channels set for grab it should not take more than a few minutes.

Well, what it should do is one thing. I can only comment that the HTPC is not shutting down if "idle" is activated. I currently have ca. 4-5 channels ticked and this should indeed not take that long. So what am I doing wrong?

[DOUBLEPOST=1389695091][/DOUBLEPOST] It just went into standby.
