DVB EPG Grabber runs in endless loop! (1 Viewer)

Seems to work. Have only selected 3 Channels for grabbing, but getting nearly EPG on all Channels for next three days.

What's missing is Sport1 US HD and some of the Sport Feeds. ProSieben Fun is also empty.

Just inform that i have only checked one channel for CSAT France (give only current/next EPG) and with my modification to always start EPG grabbing while timeshift and when timeshift, all 30 minutes EPG start to grab, i can confirm that i always get EPG now

For example, i have let running one channel the whole day and when back to home, TV Guide was filled

I am getting them all. Check out the associated provider. Could be that you need to tick them explicitly - sorry for not checking my own setup but watching tv right now.

I had selected them explicit. Now I only selected Sky 3D. Till now no luck with missing epg.
I would be very thankful, if you could post me your settings.

UN-Tick "Store data only for selected channels
Tick "German" and “English“ under "Grab EPG for the... "

Was there some enhancement done? From MP 1.11.0 .0 logs, it would seem that EPG info for all channels is grapped using the first channel on the list -though I've ticked all the channels. Or is it still necessary to "optimize" the configuration manually for MP by ticking only one channel per transponder?

At least here in Finland, the log looked like this...:

I interpret that as:
* it got updates to all 40 channels on all transponders via channel MTV3
* further, the log only had that "starting to grab DVBT:tv:MTV Oy MTV3" line for MTV3 channel ...from which I assume MP is not trying to update EPG via all ticked channels anymore.

....though honestly, reading this thread...I really did not qute understand how it actually used to work, was supposed to work, and whether it would be enhanced.

No.

So you can:

1. Leave the first channel ticked, and untick all other channels.
2. Ensure "store data only for selected channels" is unticked.
3. Ensure "grab EPG only for channels on same transponder" is unticked.

Nothing has changed. Everybody should apply the necessary configuration to get EPG for their channels. The configuration depends on provider and used channels.

This is the same as would have happened since MP 1.3. Maybe even earlier.

Whether your assumption is right or wrong depends on your configuration.
