UPDATE:  EPG looks better now. Just had a look into EPG.log :D
MP starts to be really good.

I don't know if it is a bug and if it is a known issue.

The problem always occurs with channels transmitting
the EPG data for a longer period. For instance on the channel RTL the data is transmitted for one or two days and I could not recognize anything missing in the EPG. On channel ARD the EPG data is transmitted for 7 days and there are a lot of blank areas in the EPG. When the EPG grabber runs the next time it only adds programs after the last one found in the database. so it doesn't check if any item would fit in the blank areas of the database.

I guess there are two issues.

1: The EPG grabber does not get all items in one run, probably it stops after a fixed time (kind of timeout?)
2: In a next run only items are added with a broadcast time after the last item found in the database, but it is possible items are not in the database or contain updated information (news shows update the EPG data)
