Synopsis::

i have 2 LNBs: 1x Astra 19,2, 1x Hotbird 13
these LNBs are connected to the DVB-s card with a Diceq 1.1 switch.
what values i have to enter in the LNB settings? Can MediaPortal already support diceq? i tryed many values already. when i autotune then, no transponders were found.

if i connect each of the LNBs directly to the DVB card, i get the transponders and TV programs.

if i connect the cabel from the switch to my digital receiver (without PC), it can work also with the switch and diceq.

i tried also an other dvb-s card (Cinergy 1200 DVB-s): with its WDM drivers and the software it works, with BDA drivers and media portal i also get nothing.

the wintv2000 software for the hauppauge also dont find anything when with diceq.
the cynergy software doesnt run with bda.

i looked already in the source of media portal and i see that for the diseq stuff you build up a string for IDVBSTuningSpace dvbSpace.InputRange. it looks ok for me.
also set LNBSwitch= 11700*1000
LowOscillator= 9750*1000
HighOscillator=10600*1000
Its really bad i dont find any info in platform sdk or directx sdk for bda and diceq.
any help please? has somebody mediaportal with diceq working?
what is that stuff in Inputrange?

Diseqc and nova

Hello Frank,
I have the same problems and I have make a posting for a few days.
Look here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=13748

I am testing since three weeks without any success :-(

I have the impression, we are alone with the diseqc-problem, because
nobody make some replies.

The main-problem is, that diseqc is not working. My multiswitch doesnt
switch, because there comes no diseqc-signal. If you run before starting mp another dvb-program, e.g. WINTV2000, and you have looked e.g. Pro7(12480, vertical), then you can make a scan on astra in highband, and find programs only vertical.
So you can use WINTV2000 as a diseqc-selector, because WINTV2000 sends the right diseqc-commands.

But this cannot be the way :-(

many greetings

Looks like i have the same issue as you guys, i have a TT Budget S1500 which is pretty much the same as the NOVA-S, got a dual head with Astra and Hotbird, i only got Hotbird working, cant see Astra at all.

it works fine with WDM driver with TT app or progdvb for example.
I exposed my problem over dvbshop:
http://www.dvbshop.net/forum/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=5411

Tried pretty much everything in MP with no result.

Must be some different problem: actually Nova-S / TechnoTrend Budget Line has nothing in Common with the Hauppauge Nova-SE2 / Nova-S Plus. It's a different kind of hardware with different drivers.

I think that there is a general issue with BDA drivers and Disecq. I have a terratec cinergy 1200 card and I have the exact same problem too.

I have a TWINHAN with BDA drive Version 1.2.3.6 and have the same problem. When I use the Registry Setting program I can switch from LNB 1 to LNB 2 and can find all channels. But this should be done by the Program Media Portal shouldn't it?

Same here, would really like to know how to switch manually from LNB1 to LNB2 using the registry...

It might be good time to create a bug report about this, there is definitly something wrong in MP currently with BDA driver and how diseqc commands are handled....
