As you can See i have a good few DVB-S2 TV cards. I had given up hope with the Technotrend S2-3200 card because of the DVB-S2 modulation switch or signal and i could have ether the Hauppauge cards or the TT S2-3200 working. Hauppauge cards need to send the right request for DVB-S2 NBC Qpsk or DVB-S2 8PSK else it gets no signal. The TT S2-3200 uses a completely different signal which works for DVB-S2 NBC Qpsk or DVB-S2 8PSK, but scanning the channels with ether card breaks the channels for the other.
That was until I found my way back the the Technotrend site which had been down seemingly forever and noticed a new driver ( supposedly for windows7 MCE only), Finally it would accept the settings which are stored in the TVDB from a scan on the Hauppauge cards.
However it still breaks scanning with the TT S2-3200 still changes the the modulation in the TVDB and break the channels for the Hauppauge cards.
Is there not a uniform way of signaling the DVB-S2 signal modulations? or a way to stop the TT S2-3200 channel scan breaking the channels for the Hauppauge cards.
It does seem like the method for getting these signal modulations was botched in various ways by the card manufacturers to work around the BDA spec which didn't support dvb-s2 initially which isn't helpful at all.
