DVB-T2 showing as DVB-T and no HD channels scanned (1 Viewer)

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and MediaPortal software. But, I'd imagine I'm not the only person who has asked the question, however I cannot seem to find the answer looking in the forum.

I've installed MediaPortal 1 and I've configured the system to scan using the USB Astrometa USB DVB-T2 which is plugged into the machine. After a scan it is only returning SD channels and none of the HD channels.

I have even gone and reinstalled the firmware for the Astrometa device but this has made no difference. I'm 100% sure the DVB-T2 device works, because I am currently using NextPVR which does show the channels in HD and will pick them up with a scan.

Can only suggest a way of getting the system to work?

Hello and welcome

DVB-T2 tuners and channels will show as "DVB-T".

For your tuner, you may need to increase the tune timeout setting. That's according to the info in this thread:
