Hi

I'm very new to MP - but loving every minute of it. I've got a small problem and have searched high and low on the forum to see if it is answered here - but there is almost too much to digest.

So here is a probably silly question - sorry.

MP is all set up and working well on Win XP. I control it with either a M/s Wireless mouse or a PS2 mouse - and both work well with one excepion.

When I insert and try to play a DVD - I only ever get to the main menu of the DVd - but when I try to click on 'play this film ' or whatever - the mouse has no control at all and nothing happens.

They all play fine with VLC, RealPlayer etc - but not on MP.

It's the only problem that I've come up against - and it's not of course a major one - but I cannot find any reference anywhere as to what might be wrong.

Thanks - and sorry if this had been answered a million times before - I couldn't find it.

Thanks

According to the configuration info

The Video Codec is MPV decoder (from a chocie of 3)
The Navigator is DVD Navigator (the only one present)

Not that this means too much to me - I've no idea of how they all differ.

Thanks

David

Audio codec?

MPV should be fine... but try the others (what are they?)

Well - it's sorted now - but I'm almost too embarrassed to say what I was doing wrong 0 but since it might help someone else I'll reveal my stupidity.

From within MP - I used the mouse to click on 'play DVD'.

Fine and the DVD started and then the DVD menu showed - with a choice of several films to watch.
I continued to use the mouse and no response - hence my original question.

After 48 hours of tearing my hair out - for some reason or another I used the navigation keys on my K/B and pressed 'enter' Worked like a dream.

Oh stupid me.

I can't use the mouse for navigating DVD's, I don't know if it's supposed to work or not. But it should.

    Same problem?

I have the same problem to, I can't use the mouse for navigating DVD's. Is this a known problem and is there any present solution or workaround?

Everything else works fine (what I can se at the moment) so the lack of mouse navigation for DVD is a problem for me when I only use a RF-mouse/presenter in my kitchen...

    Any ideas or komments?

    All the best,

    Åke
