Hi MediaPortal Team

Just letting you know that I have found that The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy DVD (region 4 but im guessing could be other regions also since im from Australia) causes MediaPortal RC3 to hang. Does so after playing initial title screen of the dvd.

Many thanks

Posting hopefully will be regarded "decent" info 4

Forgot to mention the following in initial post my appologies

Have tried (unsuccessfully i might add) to use the following DVD decoding modules (playback) without success. And to be more specific on where it is hanging - its on the language selection screen of the dvd itself - as soon as you select the language it hangs (freezes the entire computer so i cant get more detail out of exactly what error msg is being displayed). DVD does work quite well in other software applications such as Cyberlink Power DVD and Win DVD and on my DVD Player

    Nero Video Decoder
    Nero DVD Decoder
    Compro Video Decoder
    Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder
    Ulead DVD Video Decoder
    Mpeg2Dec Filter
    Ulead MPEG Video Decoder
    Ulead MPEG Muxer
    Cyberlink MPEG Muxer

As i say it may not possibly be a bug or something might be up with my system configuration (trying to figure out which one it is) but thats what i have tried and expirenced so far it is the only one of my dvd collection not to run on mediaportal

Hope that sheds a bit more light on the subject

Could you please use the Support Template - we still don't even know what version of MP you are using.

What have you selected as the DVD navigator?

What DVD Autoplay option do you have selected?

All your other DVDs play fine within MP?

Are there any clues in your MediaPortal.log file? What are the last few lines of this file, before the PC hangs?
