Hi All,
Have installed MediaPortal 1 RC4. Almost everything seems to be working fine except for when I put in a DVD. The movie sometimes will skip or pixellate.. and I've also noticed that the hard disk gets absolutely hammered whilst playing the DVD. If I pause or stop the DVD the disk activity goes back to normal. Does anyone know what is going on here, I wouldn't have thought that DVD playback would require such intense disk use.

Is there another DVD playback plug-in/program or something I need to configure for DVD playback that i might have missed?

thanks
J

Try to rip your DVD to harddisk and play it from harddisk. Is ok now?
If not try different DVD decoding codec, FFDshow is realy bad to use on DVD - you can try SAF:
