DVD Wont Play (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Are there any known issues regarding DVD's not playing in MP ????


If I insert a dvd it does nothing. In past installs there would be a popup asking whether to play the DVD or not. But this isn't appearing.

If I go to videos and then select the DVD, it just hangs the software. However the DVD work fine in WMP11.

Any ideas / suggestions?

I,ve attached the log files.

Unfortunately i had to use task manager to shutdown mp as it hung. Hopefully the logs will still show you something useful.

Not sure if this is relevant, tho'.

Are you using any 3. party stuff, like AnyDVD, Nero CDspeed/CDbremse etc?

Problem is that this error which Spragleknas wrote is the only relevant error found, I couldn't find anything odd except that.

I would, in your place, disable all 3rd party MP addons and Windows DVD utils (maybe antivirus just in case as there are many reports that AVs breaks the working system) and by using plain MSDTV/DVD Codecs try to play DVD.

I disabled every plugin and script, changed the codecs for dvd to MSDTDVD and still the same result.

Are you playing DVD from Moving Pictures? I'm asking because in log there is Moving Pictures log which says on the end of it:
