I have a strange issue, from scratch DVD's aren't playing on my setup.

Even not in Windows 10 Home - Media Player it doesn't work. It says 'Unkown Disc'

I Googled it and it seems that Microsoft removed DVD support and want you to buy the DVD player software from the Windows Store.

Does the internal DVD player from MePo rely on the Windows Media Player to play DVD's?

I also tried to use PowerDVD 15 Pro as external player, but that doesn't work.

When I press 'Play DVD' it just returns directly to the main menu.

Any clues? I've attached log files

    Solved!

It seems there is a dependency between playing a DVD and having the 'Videos' plugin enabled. I had disabled the Videos plugin, because I thought I wouldn't use this. But when disabled you won't be able to start any discs.

@azzuro Done, at first I couldn't find where to change the prefix.
    I confirm. That's as intended/expected.
I did knew this. Because I had it years ago too. But I forgot about it and the removal of DVD support in WMP made me doubt...

Everything is a bit rusty in my head, but hey I'm not 30 anymore :p
