TV: Samsung R8 32"
TV - HTPC Connection: HDMI - HDMI
The DTV1000T has an IR receiver which plugs into the TV card itself with a jack-type plug, the remote itself looks like the "FireDTV" remote (when doing the Setup Wizard in MP and selecting the remote type, my remote looks exactly the same as the FireDTV one). Anyway, the remote works when I use it to scroll through the menus, hitting Enter to select things, there's a "back arrow' button which lets me go back to the previous screen, the Sleep button also works, but things like Stop, Fast Forward etc. don't work, so I can't use these things when watching DVDs for example. Does anyone know how I can fully utilise this remote or am I wasting my time and should instead be investing in an MCE remote?? Apologies if I have put this in the wrong area.
