Hello together,
almost every thread in the forums is about how to configure dynamic zoom mode changes for example with IFC.
But - actually I want to almost do the opposite thing. My AV Receiver has a good upscaler included (up to 4k) but the problem is, that the receiver always gets the signal based on the screen resolution of Windows. So wether if I play PAL, SD or HD - the HDMI output is always 1920x1080 as this is the configured screen resolution in Windows and the upscaler int he AV Receiver just says "oh, 1920x1080 - nothing to do" but in fact it gets SD content with a black border around (when using the "original" zoom level of MP.)
So I am now looking for a plugin / codec / whatever that scans the original resolution and based on this it changes the Windows screen resolution down to SD resolution for example. The AV Receiver should than recognize this low quality format and should use the internal upscaler.
Permanently using for example 800x600 makes no sense I think as this would mean to downscale an HD content in the HTPC and than upscale in the receiver.
Any ideas on this?
