Easier browsing possible? (1 Viewer)

I am wondering whether a feature could be added, which would ease browsing through the database. For me, the most important tag for splitting a movie or music collection is the genre tag. Therefore, browsing through collections could be eased as outlined below.

The idea is to have a list of genres on the left hand side. The list of albums / movies would dynamically change if the user changes the genre.

Would this be possible in the current MP version?

I think the nearest current solution would be to create your own view.
Explaining music:
Enter MP Configuration
Make sure you are in Expert mode (top bar)
Select Music Views
Add new line: Genre; Group; Sortby Album
