Easy Solution to Burn Recorded TV to DVD? (1 Viewer)

First of all, MediaPortal works quite awesomely on this little 6 year old machine I had laying around. Ideally here's what I would like to do:

1) Be able to record from my VCR which is connected via the inputs on my capture card
2) Burn that recorded content to a DVD.
3) Do this ALL with a remote control.

I've done a lot of searching but can't find a one-touch solution for this, the closest MediaPortal has is for me to select the Convert option in the menu to convert to MPEG2 and then burn that to a DVD using the My Burner plugin, both of which take a considerable amount of time and space. Is there an easier solution?

I have tried similar solutions for Media Center.
The latest I've tried is a series of products from a company called Conceiva.
They have a cool MEZZMO that does media server, and ConvertHQ to convert to and from a lot of formats.
There are plenty of other solutions out there, but I find these cool looking
Unfortunatly they are not connecting to any remote control AFAIK.
