I have a USB dongle containing a EC168 chip, and the program that comes with it works. I used GraphEdit in a desperate attempt to follow the instructions here after reading this thread. But as the page says, the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file is obsolete and the TV server should instead find the card automatically, so I had no where to store the info. And of course, the TV server config doesn't list my card, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this.
However, the information I got from GraphEdit led me to believe, as I had already suspected from driver file names etc, that I seem to have a BDA driver installed for the chip (I can find EC168 BDA Digital Tuner and EC168 BDA Digital Capture).
So my question is - is there anything I can do to make the TV server recognize the EC168 BDA driver or am I going about this the wrong way? It seems odd that it wouldn't find the card since it is a BDA driver and I was under the impression that they are sort of equivalent from MP:s perspective.
