Windows Version: xp sp2
1. TV Card: Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II
FORTHERECORD 1.3

So all of a sudden I find that all my recordings seem to be empty as in they are black.
The files are not 0 length. They appear to be actually recording nothing.
I can timeshift with no problem.
I can watch videos with no problem.
But I have no luck recording shows.
I have attached the log form my TV server for help.
I will post this at the fortherecord forum as well.

Any suggestions would be apprecaited

Well I uninstalled and installed the the newest SVN to see if that solved the problem.
Again, it seems to record blank data. The file grows in size, but there is no audio or video.
Its RC3 latest svn now on XP sp2.
I have included the log..HELP.
I tried to record a sow at 11pm this evening, no not the election.
PLease have a look, I am lost.

I have noticed in teh log that it says the input is SvhsInput1, which I beleive is s-video.
My STB is connected via composite video input. However I would assume then. That I would get audio and no video as the video source is sepearate from the audio source. Unless the video card for some strange reason won't capture audio if there is no video. That said, I did plug an s-video cable in half way through a recording with no affect. Again. Lost

ok
so I have narrowed it down.
It always records black on the second card.
I have a dual tuner happauge and the second tuner isn't recording anything.
NOw that I disabled the tuner I can record again.

That said, I think the problem is that when you set up the channels, you assign the input to say svhsinput1..the problem with that is the card has two inputs and I have no idea how you tell it to take from the second card to take the second video source and not always the first.

Anyone know how to tell it what inputs to use.

yup thats clearly it. The second card is is clearly attempting to take from the same source as the first card. The only place I can see that define the input is on the channel listing itself. So how do I tell card one to use input 1 and card 2 to use input 2.
Once I sort that, I am good
