Enable/Disable Closed Caption On the Fly (1 Viewer)

Currently, I'm using the "Core CC Parser" as discussed in this TV Post Processing filter thread to display closed captioning while watch standard over-the-air ATSC television. It works very well.

Questions:

1. Is there a way to toggle a TV post processing filter on the fly via a keystroke or similar (to alleviate closing the MP, editing the config, then restarting it?)
2. Is there another built in way to display closed captioning without using the filter?
