Hey guys,
I have had this problem for a long time but I never thought in this direction before. If I start an external application out of MediaPortal their sound "flickers" or "laggs". It sounds like the sound latency / sound buffer causes trouble. I always thought "hey, these applications are just configured wrong" so I tweaked their settings and I IMAGINED to be kind of successful. But actually I wasn't.
I recently disabled the "Enable GUI sound effects" setting in MediaPortal configuration and the laggs magically disappeared with it (reproducable).
So what could cause this problem ? Any hints ?
btw: The laggs continue to appear when I launch an external application and then kill MediaPortal. If I launch these applications outside MediaPortal everything sounds fine.
No logs on this, since there is nothing logged about it...

PS: Up-/downgrading audio drivers made no difference... Also trying different skins doesn't lead to anything...
