Hi all - just installed 0.2.0.0 (latest version), and I'm trying to get the subtitles on DVDs to work properly.

Example : the DVD "Hunt for Red October". Has Russian in the first scene, which is subtitled in English. Later scenes move to all english dialogue, meaning subtitles are not needed.

I can either get the whole movie subtitled (annoying), or no subtitles at all.

The DVD works fine on a PC running just PowerDVD 7, and in a standalone DVD player. Subtitles for the Russian Language parts of the film, no subtitles for the English parts. No changing of menu options required.

in MP, I've looked at the MPV codec, tried the Show Forced Subtitles part (on and off), tried the same thing with DScaler, no fix.

the main Show Subtitles option either gives the subtitles to me all the time, or none of the time.

Anyone come across this, and possibly offer a resolve?

i've been wondering if there's a solution for this for a while as well!

for what it's worth - my old hardware dvd player had the same problem. took me ages to realize it though... until that scene in anchorman when he's talking to his dog in bark language and i was thinking 'man this joke has gone on wayyyyy to long'. only then did i realize i was missing the subtitle translation.

This problem has been fixed with the current FEATURE release 2.0.1.0.

I am glad to say that although this version isn't classified STABLE, it is definitely worth a look for any fan of this great program.
