    i think, the basic homescreen should be individual for each skin, your solution might fit best for your skin, another solution might fit best for another skin...

    e.g. im using a 2 way menu in the basic homescreen for my vista skin.

    Great thinking! I have switched from MCE to MP and one of the very few things I miss is the submenus in home screen (the thing I miss most is the constantly glowing/changing background). If someone makes a beta testskin I would gladly test it and give feedback!
