Must be getting tired. I put this in wrong forum twice. :) Finally it is in the right spot.

kept having a problem downloading the dvb epg if I hadn't updated it in a while. I would turn off MyTV to let it download, and the server would crash. I would do this repeatedly and eventually it would work. I finally got some time to look at it and it turns out the the SQL connection is timing out because of the amount of "dead" entries. In the tv.log there is this:

2007-11-06 19:12:53.250000 [EPG Update thread]: Tvservice stopped due to a app domain exception Error: StatementErrorUnclassified
Gentle.Common.GentleException: delete from Program where endTime < '20071105 19:12:18'; ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

So I started sql server management studio express and manually ran the command (it deleted around 61000 entries). It took about 45 seconds. The next time I tried to update the epg, it worked fine.

Nobody?

I can't believe no one else has this problem. My computer isn't slow (3GHz) and SQL Server can't delete the entries before the connection times out. Surely someone else has seen this?

Me too, same error, with a dual core 2,5Gz and with MP1. Timeout or not, tv server should't crash for a SQLException...
