If TV is watched inside the small Preview window during display of the EPG the playback and text scrolling is lagging.

Watching the CPU load during this, the load is very high. This was introduced since the introduction of Blue3 skin.

There is no fullscreen TV lag and CPU load is low.
Same problem with Nvidia, Cyberlink, MPV codecs.

Make sure the graphics memory is not set to auto in the bios, make sure its at least 128mb if not 256mb (preferred)

BTW my cpu load in that screen with video playing is 3-7%

    Finally someone with my problem!

    I have the same problem.
    The Remote is also sluggish?

    Update to RC4, nothing changed.
    New Installation, nothing changed.
Playing with the codecs, nothing changed.

By the way, I have 512 MB assigned to my Card.

Yesterday I got a hint: It seems that EPG Grabbing is the performance thief.

Play with the settigns and take a look.

Im not sure that the EPG grabbing is the villain.
Since im running Multi seat system and this is the Client that are having this problem.

And the server is the one doing all the EPG stuff.

My guess is something in the line of update management regarding the display of EPG and scroll texts during playback of video in the preview window. This problem was introduced for me after RC2. so im guessing it has something with the skin engine to do.

ITSME57: The Remote is also sluggish? : Yes lagy as hell =).

I have found the problem regarding Lag inside the new skins.
    Se this post : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/blue3-skin-feedback-293/blue3-skins-gr8-but-its-memory-hog-49863/

The fix is mainly for the skin creators but you can fix it your self.

Im including a tweaked version of blue3wide as a proof of concept.

Many of the gfx inside this skin is to small and should be increased, but if you are having lag inside your EPG please let me know if using this tweaked version of Blue3wide fixes your problem.

    I solved the problem too.

It was not the EPG and not the skin.
    It was my Wlan.
The Wlan was my only network adapter in the system.
It seems that the SQL Database binds on this device.
While the TV lags, I did nothing over the LAN, so I wondered that the Wlan Indicator LED was always heavy flashing.
When I diabled my Wlan, everything was fine and performant.

So I installed the Microsoft Loopback device with a pseudo IP.
This device is the first device in the system. SQL can bind it and my Wlan is "free" from this stuff.

    No lagging since this change.

Graphics memory and general RAM are two different things. Your graphics card will have built-in RAM, in your case I'm guessing 256MB. If you modify your BIOS settings to refer to RAM that your video card doesn't have, you'll get all sorts of problems. This is completely separate to the 1GB of RAM in your computer.

yeah i know... but with onboard graphics cards, it's important, how much RAM you assign to it ;)

ItsMe57 and I do have the same mainboards. So sometimes it can be important to know how much RAM you do have in your HTPC
