I've been around this a few days, tring to populate more than current and next program. 110/119 I've tried setting epg grabber on CH 239, CH 200 but all I get is two hours or current and next program. I also tried the manual mode in both mentioned channels. What else can I try. Does it matter if the selected channel for grabing the epg is scrabled?
Tried with Language selected (English) and without it, also with timeshift enabled and disabled.

System:
Win 7
MP 1.12
DVB-S Skywalker 2

    Hello,
are you sure your provider have long-term EPG?
To check it you could try programm called EPGCollector and see if it could find more :)

    Hello again lcdfreeek

I've tried setting epg grabber on CH 239, CH 200 but all I get is two hours or current and next program.
As far as I'm aware 239 is the correct channel number. Having said that, the information I have could be outdated. The main point I want to make is that simply ticking the appropriate channels won't necessarily give you what you want. All the other settings have to be considered too. Your provider is "tricky". They have a lot of channels so it takes quite a long time to collect the full EPG, and as I recall there were some modifications that needed to be made in order to get the EPG to link to channels correctly.

    If you want help, please:
    1. Provide screenshots of all the DVB EPG sections - main DVB EPG, TV EPG grabber and radio EPG grabber - so I can check your settings.
    2. Provide full TV Server log files so I can see what actually happens when EPG is grabbed.

    What else can I try.
This is a situation where solving the problem by yourself will be hard, and you're unlikely to succeed. Fiddling with random settings using trial and error is a waste of your time. Unfortunately I'm not able to give you specific instructions either.

Therefore, please provide the information requested above so we can work together.

Does it matter if the selected channel for grabing the epg is scrabled?
No, as long as your setup is able to decrypt it.

are you sure your provider have long-term EPG?
    It does.

To check it you could try programm called EPGCollector and see if it could find more
I know EPG Collector is able to collect the full EPG. TV Server should be able to as well, but the EPG grabber settings must be configured correctly.

Thank you for the details. Your configuration looks reasonable to me (well done (y) ), and I can see that TV Server is able to grab a lot of EPG as a result:
    [2016-01-10 22:38:10,171] [EPG ] [DVB EPG timer] [INFO ] - EpgCard: card: 3 starting to grab DVBS:tv: Unknown EF Freq:12471812 ONID:4100 TSID:18 SID:239 PMT:0x21 FTA:True LCN:10000 SymbolRate:21500 Modulation:Mod8Psk Polarisation:CircularL InnerFecRate:Rate2_3 DisEqc:Level1AA band:NaCustom1 Pilot:NotSet RollOff:NotSet
    ...
    [2016-01-10 22:47:54,074] [EPG ] [12 ] [INFO ] - dvb:dvb ready.EPG 7257 channels
    ...
    [2016-01-10 22:48:10,465] [EPG ] [6 ] [INFO ] - EpgCard: card: 3 timeout after 10.0048889133333 mins

It seems that this huuuuge amount of EPG is overwhelming TV Server when it tries to store it in the database:

    [2016-01-10 22:48:23,223] [Log ] [12 ] [ERROR] - Exception :confused:ystem.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.

    [2016-01-10 22:48:24,114] [Log ] [12 ] [INFO ] - Error while converting dvb text

    at System.String.Concat(Object arg0, Object arg1)
    at TvLibrary.Implementations.DVB.TvCardDvbBase.get_Epg()[/collapse]

It's either too much data, or the format of some of the data is not as TV Server expects it to be.

So, in short: it looks like there's a technical issue which is preventing TV Server from storing the EPG data that it finds. I would really like the opportunity to investigate further and attempt to solve this issue. Therefore, please can you do the following:
    1. Open TV Server Configuration.
    2. Navigate to the "manual control" section.
    3. Click "stop service".
    4. Open Windows Explorer.
    5. Navigate to your TV Server install folder (typically c:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server).
    6. Take a backup copy of TsWriter.ax.
    7. Download and extract the attached version of TsWriter.ax into the same folder to replace the standard version.
    8. Back in TV Server Configuration, click "start service".
    9. Use the "group" and "channel" fields to select any one of the channels shown here on transponder 18 ("TP 18", 119.0W 12.47186 L SR: 21500 2/3 FEC 8PSK DVB-S) that you are able to decrypt as part of your subscription.
    10. Click "start timeshift".
    11. Leave TV Server time-shifting on that channel for 15 minutes.
    12. After the 10 minutes have elapsed, click "stop timeshift" and then "stop service".
    13. Back in Windows Explorer, navigate to your time-shift folder. The default folder is c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\timeshiftbuffer. Windows usually hides ProgramData, so if that's the folder that you're using then the easiest way to get there is to copy and paste the location (ie. c:\ProgramData\Team...) into the Windows Explorer address bar.
    14. Compress (zip, rar, 7z - whatever you prefer) the "raw_packet_dump.ts" file which should be in the time-shift folder.
    15. Attach the zip file here in this thread.
    16. Navigate to your TV Server install folder again.
    17. Restore the original TsWriter.ax file from your backup copy.
    18. Back in TV Server Configuration, click "start service".
The raw_packet_dump.ts file that you provide should hopefully enable me to reproduce the issue here on my PC in New Zealand. Once I can reproduce the issue, I can begin to investigate what's causing it and hopefully find a solution.

Please don't hesitate to ask if any of the above is not clear. :)

    Regards,
    mm

Really - only 230 KB? I'm surprised. I might have expected something more like 20 MB.
Anyhow, what is the file extension?
Perhaps you could upload it to Dropbox, Mega or some other file-sharing service?

    Thank you so much (y)
I'm downloading now and will attempt to reproduce as soon as I have a few hours on my hands. This could take 3 or 4 days, but rest assured I'll post back here as soon as I have anything to share.
