Error in mediaportal config (1 Viewer)

this error wont let me save settings...when ever I press ok it just appears and tells me to click continue or cancel
the error says
"unhandled exception has occurred in your application if you click continue etc etc etc"

then it says "there is an error in XML document (0, 0)

inside it is this error

I really really need this fixed...anything else I should provide?

I installed 1.2 to see if that would fix...it did not.

I can't be sure of what is wrong because you haven't provided a full set of logs. Not only that: you didn't fill in the system specs in your profile or the template. How can we be expected to help you if you ignore our support forum rules (-->here<--) - we simply don't get enough information to help, and it is a waste of our time to guess!

If I'm forced to guess then I'd say there is an issue with your MediaPortal.xml configuration file. I don't know how the problem would have been created, but if it is truly the case then you should be able to fix the issue relatively easily with a text editor such as notepad. All you have to do is locate MediaPortal.xml (search "C:\Documents and Settings" on XP or "C:\ProgramData" on Vista/7, *make sure you include hidden and system folders*), open it in the editor, check the structure, make any necessary fixes, then save and close. If you can't find any problem then post a copy of the file here. Note that it would have been included if you had posted logs in the first place - if you want help fast then it is *always* a good idea to follow the forum rules and post full logs.
