[no Bug] Error MyHome.xml missing or invalid (3 Viewers)

    Hello,
    I have an annoying error. When MP is in Basichome page I get an error message about MyHome.xml file missing or invalid.
    I've checked the folder and there is a file MyHome.xml.

    This is my error.log

    When I try to configure Home plugin in MP Configuration I get an error.
    I' not sure if this could be useful but this is the detail of the error. What can I do?

    ************** Debug JIT **************
    Per attivare il debug JIT, è necessario impostare il valore
    jitDebugging nella sezione system.windows.forms del file di configurazione
    dell'applicazione o del computer (machine.config).
    L'applicazione inoltre deve essere compilata con il debug
    attivato.

    Ad esempio:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    Quando il debug JIT è attivato, tutte le eccezioni non gestite
    vengono inviate al debugger JIT registrato nel computer,
    anziché essere gestite da questa finestra di dialogo.

    Hi,

    I have no problem configuring home plugin. Please try a complete cleanup of all mediaportal files, reinstall and report back.

    I know this is a pain, but if the problem is with your install, there is little point in the team spending more time looking into it, and since I cannot reproduce this problem, and no-one else has said they can, it is worth checking.

    Seems to be moaning about TVGemist
    try renaming C:/Programmi/Team%20MediaPortal/MediaPortal/plugins/windows/TVGemist.DLL

    and change the extension to something like xxx and see if you still get problems. This looks to be an issue with third party plugins.

    Can you try this and report back?

    Great Jameson. The problem was TVGemist. I renamed the dll and now the annoying message has disappeared.
    Thanks a lot.

    P.S. MediaPortal is going really fantastic
