I have a Windows Home server and auto-updates. Everything updated. Check System Components - all fine.
I guess you don't know what it is... :(

I tried to run debug mode, and I did report to MediaPortal but it said MediaPortal has never been configured. And then it launched the configuration and crashed on open. Same error message as my first post. MP is being a big pain:eek:

Did you check if the path "C:\Users\LachlanAdmin\AppData\Local\Temp\MediaPortal Installation\deploy" actually exists?

Are you running the installer with admin privileges?
I typed in the admin password to run the installation. I'm not installing under an Administrator profile though.
What happens if you manually create the directory?
I doubt that would work because It is looking for MediaPortal Installation\deploy which I assume would be a file
