Hi All,
I have what is hopefully a simple issue. Basically I can't play ANYTHING back in MediaPortal right now and I have a lot of errors in my log files. Nothing will open and MP will tell me it can't open the file (AVC, XVID, AC3, DTS etc.). Everything appears to open/playback just fine in both GraphStudio and MediaPlayer Classic home cinema.
Here is what I believe the issue is though I am not sure how to fix it exactly. Basically I had an old HTPC setup with a MP installation that worked fine. I setup a new HTPC (that has the above specs), reinstalled MediaPortal, reinstalled my addins (streamed MP and a few others) and reinstalled the version of Stand Alone Filters I had been using previously.
Once everything was installed, I literally copied over ALL the MediaPortal directories from the old HTPC (which was also Windows 7x64 SP1 and the exact same version of MP and addons was installed). Program Files, Program Data, the files from the Users directory; everything that had to do with MediaPortal except registry entries of course. I let it merge and over-write everything from the old HTPC to the new HTPC directories. More or less this allowed me to completely re-use my old MediaPortal config and after some skin issues it more or less appears to be working fine. It's just that no files will open at all in MediaPortal and it has come to my attention that my logs are filled with errors that are concerning. Errors such as:
And:
My logs are attached; there may be a few other issues in there. Any thoughts? I am sure it is some issue from copying all my config files over; hopefully it is simple to diagnose! If it matters at all, I have the page file for the system set to 512MB to save space on the drive; I am not sure if that is causing the 'attempted to read or write protected memory' error or not.
If there is a better way to completely migrate configuration between PC's like that, let me know and I can attempt the migration again; I just fully installed and then copied everything over because that made sense to me. Someone else suggested that I reinstall but I wanted to check with someone before I went ahead and started over in case there was a way to fix this install or a better way to migrate
