Hello,
I have the problem, that it is not possible to watch ESPN over Sky in Germany. If I switch to this channel, the TV is staying black. I looked on the timeshift folder and the *.ts file was not created, only the *.buffer is there.
I attached the logs.


Please help me because I like ESPN.

Hi Markus

Did ESPN work in the past? I see no problem with tuning and timeshift file creation in the TV Server logs which suggests that the problem could be a client side problem. Please provide the MediaPortal logs.

PS: we prefer you to use the watchdog to grab logs - it makes things faster and easier for you and it gives more information (like MediaPortal settings files and system event logs) to us. If you have a multi-seat system then please use the watchdog on the client and manually grab the TV Server logs.

It could not bei a client problem, because if I start the timeshift manually in TV Server the *.ts file is not created too.

I have Sky only since one week, but I got answer over german forum that there is another user without the ESPN problem.

Yesterday I installed 1.2.0 beta but the problem was the same.

What could be a potential reason for not creating the .ts file but the .buffer file?

Tonight I try to grab the logs.

In a normal receiver ESPN is working.

At least from the logs it still doesn't look like there is a problem with tuning etc. If there was a problem with Freuli's setup then I guess it could be with the RAM disk setup and write permissions.
