Dear Community,

my MCE-Remote Control produces some kind of error, I could not get rid of yet. Maybe someone knows advice.

I am running:
MP1.6 FINAL, Client Installation, with EventGhostPlus 1.1.3.3 Plugin.
EventGhost 0.4.1r1640 with "Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista/Win7" & "MediaPortal Message Sender" Plugins
on Win7x64 Home Premium, only used as HTPC.

When watching TV and entering the "Mini-Guide" by pressing "OK" i cannot use "channel up" or "channel down" anymore since i switched from 1.6PRE to FINAL (didn't got this behaviour before).
After pressing one of those buttons on my Remote it correctly does a "page up" oder "page down" - but after that my Remote doesn't work anymore until a restart MP.

This only happens in this special situation. In all other cases "channel up" and "channel down" do work well.

The Situation can also be reproduced by using the "test"-button directly from within EventGhost. After Fullscrenn-TV sending "OK" and "Channel up" or "Channel Down", the following trigger also all result in "NetworkSender failed." at EventGhost.

MP-Errorlog says:
Code:
[2014-01-25 20:25:17,557] [Error ] [38 ] [ERROR] - EventGhostPlus: Error while trying to receive eventData.
[2014-01-25 20:25:36,654] [Error ] [MPMain ] [ERROR] - EventGhostPlus: Error while trying to connect to 0.0.0.0:11023

EvenGhostPlus.log says:
Code:
25.01.2014 20:20:46[Info] Starting EventGhostPlus version 1.1.3.3
25.01.2014 20:25:06[Info] Message received.

25.01.2014 20:25:36[Error] Error while trying to connect to 0.0.0.0:11023
(somehow it seems to use 0.0.0.0 instead of 127.0.0.1 after that particular situation...?)

Anyone any Idae how to solve this?

regards,
Zepar

I noticed the same about a week ago, but after i re-entered the IP address in the EventGhostPlus plugin config and hit Save (i'm submitting to Network Server, so entered IP) and it was fixed. Didn't pay attention to it after that. What happens when you simply hit SAVE again (EG+ plugin)?

    What I just tried:
Switched EG+ plugin from "locally" to "network server". entered ip 127.0.0.1 - port left at 1024, no pwd.
added "Netzwerk Ereignis Empfänger"-Plugin at EventGhost. also port 1024 with no pwd set.

    Remote works.
But: Same Failure when doing fullscreen tv, "ok", "ch up" oder "ch down".

Didn't you use that patch in combination with EG+ then?? Because you need that patch for EG+ to work (will be fixed in upcoming release).

no, it already worked fine with EG+ 1.1.3.3 and regular MP1.6final without the patch - just that weired behaviour. i tried with the patch aswell before, but without any difference.
