I am using Cddisplay to view comics in MP. I have setup a directory browse in My Programs and Cddisplay automtically opens the comic files. I can use the MCE remote to scroll up and down, but how do I get it to go to the next/previous page and exit the Cddisplay program?

You will need to do that by configuring CDisplay. I am not sure how the MCE remote works, but for remotes that work by simulating keypresses you can simply map the buttons. If it is some DirectInput thing or similar you might have a harder time.

So should I use MP to map buttons to say, left/right keyboard button? Or will I need to use another HIP program? Can I do this so they are only active when CDdisplay is running (or when I am in My Programs)? Sorry, I've no idea how to do this.

If your HIP program can set profile per application, then you can just create a profile for CDisplay.exe or similar. Someone with a MCE remote should hopefully be able to give you better advice.

FYI I just enabled navigation via keyboar arrows ikn Cddisplay and can now use the directional buttons on my MCE remote to scroll through pages and even access the Cddisplay menu (to exit Cddisplay).
