Experience with TwinHan (/Azurewave) AD-TP300 (3030) DVB-T CI (3 Viewers)

Hi Guys

I have the TwinHan Ter-CI 3030 card. I have no trouble using that card with a CAM to watch encrypted channels from RiksTV inside MediaPortal. It can be a little tricky to initially get the smart-card paired with the CAM, and to get updated encryption keys. I solved that problem by enabling DVB-EPG for that particular card (even though I'm using WebEPG) , just to force the card to "tune" to encrypted channels and by that receive the pairing signal. After the card was paired with the CAM I disabled DVB-EPG again.

BTW, the CI menu doesn't work, but I don't see why I would need that menu to work

So pay channels are working for you?

What driver version are you using? What OS? 64-bit or 32-bit?


Trying to get this to work in my HTPC, have tried a dozen different drivers and operating systems from win7 x64 to win xp MCE. Can't get it to show encrypted channels, neither in MCE or in mediaportal. Build in DTV program works.

The version on the CD delivered with mine is 1.0.5.9, the same version as you say you are using in post #72, but I can't seem to get it to work with pay channels in mediaportal, nor in media center. Is it working in windows media center too for you? Are you using the MCE tool or is it just working as is with 1.0.5.9?

What operating system are you on? X64 or X86?

Post your log files please.
You shouldn't have to use any MCE tool (in fact such tools could cause problems), but you might have MP configured incorrectly.

You need to enable the CAM for the tuner:

Thanks. Still says channel is encrypted, have enable EPG grabbing and tried both generic and DVBT provider, attached new logs.

When I updated to the latest twinhan driver (1.1.2.700) some encrypted channels worked. Now I have increased TsReader\BufferingDelayInMilliSeconds to 1600 and all encrypted channels except for 1 (TV3) works. The last channel worked once, when I had it on as starting channel in mediaportal after reboot, but as soon as I restarted mediaportal it didn't work again. I have extracted logs from tvservice.log when it (TV3) did work and when it didn't, perhaps someone can help me compare the logs and see what happened when it worked and what I need to change. One more (Kanal 5) is a bit unstable, but works most of the time.

It's actually an xp/vista driver but it works in windows 7, except for the one channel I mentioned above.

I don't think they made an official windows 7 driver.
