    Re: AW: Experimental TsReader development

Does this happen with the standard MP 1.2.2 TsReader ?
I can't say it for sure and I can't reproduce it manually, but I used a long time the original one and never had this problem...

I'll take a look at the duration/position reporting code in case there is anything obvious.

EDIT - might have found something that could cause more lag in the duration updates than there should be...

noStopMod43 added to https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/811296-post5.html - note this does not have a fix for the duration update problem discussed above (still working on that).

It's mostly a release for testing the SD/HD zapping fix - the H.264 NALU header parsing has been modified, so it needs regression testing - just in case....(although there have been 40 downloads of v42d to date, so I'm hopeful :))

Sometimes I've stuttering after a channel change (HD only) , this also happens with the default tsreader.
Tsreader doesn't auto recover from it, only skipping, zapping fixes it.

    Added log file,
    - stuttering started with the last channel change (23-01-2012 11:35:57.067)
    - skipped -15sec which fixed stuttering (23-01-2012 11:36:35.877)

The TsReader.log looks OK (no late samples or 200ms pauses in that area) - the evr.log and a screen cap with the render stats might be more useful ?

Hi, FYI I currently work on alls my suspend/resume problems. The last threaded tsreader versions had problems after resume. I have sound but no picture, sometime I get picture after many zap, sometime I must restart MP. I use now a "old" one version and have no problem. I will made a log later in the week but I would know if I'm the only one in this case.

    AW: Experimental TsReader development

Tried 0043 and had severe problems with freezing. Sometimes live tv froze in after some minutes, sometimes after a longer period of time. But 0043 ran stutter-free, that's very good.
But I reverted back to 0039,there's sometimes little stuttering, but no freezing.

I need the logs for v43 - I can't investigate problems without them (it works OK for me....)

I know you tried v42d - did that have the freezing problems ?
