Export/Import Video catalogue (1 Viewer)

Hi All,
I have migrated from MP RC3 to MP 1.0.2. I have created a Video Database for 350 movies, manually setting a lare portion of Genres and covers. I'd like to avoid starting over with each new release of MP as this takes hours to do.

I was previously able to transfer my Video Database from MP RC3 to a fresh install of MP RC3 by a simply copy/paste of C:/ProgramData/Team Medialportal

Is it possible to transfer my Video Database from MP RC3 to MP 1.0.2 or MP 1.0.2 to a fresh install of MP 1.0.2?
And how?

Hi

It is possible by copying the database and thumbs directories from one installation to another and by creating the shares folders in MPConfiguration the same as before. Just take note that the team recommends a clean installation especially if you are troubleshooting some problems.

You can find the files by going to Start menu, Programs, Team MediaPortal, MediaPortal, UserFiles.

there is also a 3rd party backupsettings plugin that you may try at own risk. Search our forums for it.
