Hi,
I just upgraded to MP 1.0.1 and I have noticed there is a problem with extended characters. My native language is Greek but I prefer to use English UI because labels are shorter (sometimes the Greek translations are too long and don't fit within the buttons or other text areas). Because Greek uses characters in the range U+037e (894) to U+03ce (974), in the new version they are not displayed properly during animations. If I enable useExtendedCharsWithStandardCulture in debug section, they are displayed properly until the system suspends. On resume the font manager goes crazy.
Steps to reproduce:
A. Without useExtendedCharsWithStandardCulture
1. Clear useExtendedCharsWithStandardCulture in debug section
2. Clear skin cache
3. Run MP
4. Goto Music or Videos and find a folder that has filenames with extended characters
5. Move to the left slide out menu: the filenames disappear.
6. If the system suspends to RAM and then resumes, it still has the same behavior
Log files: MediaPortalLogs_13_04_09_1.zip
B. With useExtendedCharsWithStandardCulture
1. Set useExtendedCharsWithStandardCulture to yes
2. Clear skin cache
3. Run MP
4. Goto Music or Videos and find a folder that has filenames with extended characters
5. Move to the left slide out menu: the filenames are still shown correctly.
6. Suspend to RAM
7. Resume
8. The whole UI is messed up with huge text
9. Restart MP
8. The UI reverts to normal
Log files: MediaPortalLogs_13_04_09_2.zip
Also if I choose Greek for the UI language, the system behaves as in A, because in the language file "characters" is set to 255 instead of 974. If I do change it to 974, I get behavior B.
