First, I hope you enjoy(ed) your holiday, Disaster :)

Second I have an improvement idea for your nice "record weekly everytime on this channel"-feature. Is it possible to have an option to limit this function, so it only records the show once a day?

What I mean: I want to record Dr. House, weekly, every thursday on channel XYZ. Problem is, the show is broadcastet at 20.15 and repeated later the same day at perhaps 23.00. Result with the current version is, that MP records the same show on that day twice. No big problem, but it blocks the TV-card two times that day.

I would like to have an option to limit this to only one recording on that day. But this limitation should be optional, so we still are able to record multiple shows on the same day if we want to. Something like an extra option in Timer settings "record weekly on that day on that channel anytime ONCE". Is that possible to implement?

That would make this feature perfect for my uses. But if it's too complicated to implement my wishes, it would be no problem anyway. I still love the Disaster Edition ;)

    Found solution to my problem

    Hi,

In the message 297 of this thread, I raise a problem with MediaPortal that cannot see the files of a network drive if Windows fails to do it when it starts but became available after MediaPortal opened. I found my problem.

Don't use a Network Drive in Windows. Use the Network Address instead. I had a M: Drive before that pointed to \\MyNetwork\MyComputer and use the M: drive in My Videos, My Music and every other place in MP configuration. When I changed everything from M: to the network address, everything works perfectly.

Thanks again for your great work Disaster and I hope you enjoyed your week off.

    Hallo Disaster123,

Ich hoffe, du kannst damit was anfangen.

i think this is too complicated - which channels in germany do this?

this is an english thread so please keep it in english. This could be related to the following change made by me:
"- patch for skipping mediainfo on networkshare drives"

mediainfo is the part which detects the framerate. So could you please post logs so that i can have a look at it?

    Hi Disaster,

for example SAT 1 does this with "Navy CIS" on sunday. First broadcast at 20.15, repeated at 23.30 the same day, leads to a double record of the same episode...
I already thought that this might be too complicated for a quick fix. ;)
As I said before that's no big problem. Would have been nice anyway. Maybe ForTheRecord would be able to do this, but I just don't want another plugin for this special case.

here the Log-Files. The log files come of my Backup with the last version of you. It is the last SVN version before MP 1.0.1.0. I hope those go also, in order to find the error.

so that's the expected bahaviour and a feature of my release :)

    Post 1:
"- patch for skipping mediainfo on networkshare drives"

i added this cause for me all media files over networkshared drives took 15s to start. You don't have this problem?
