is there ever going to be support such as the sagetv option. or even anyother form of prebuilt extender??

love it if there was somthing like this in the pipeline!!!

excellent software just works out expensive as i need 6 clients..

I doubt it very much simply because MediaPortal is open source software and developing hardware costs money.

If I remember correctly MediaPortal 2 is supposed to be based on UPNP/DLNA so when that's ready for release you might be able to use a hardware DLNA box to connect to it, but you could be waiting a while.

I've personally just switched from MediaPortal to SageTV for this very reason, while Sage itself does have a learning curve and the available UI options are no where near as good as MP, the extender is simply plug and play and in my opinion is Sage's killer feature.
