In the recent cvs's I am getting an error when I try and run the setup for the external display plugin through the media portal configuration program. The exact text of the error is:

Failed to locate assembly 'ProcessPlugins.XmlSerializers, version=1.0.2149.41435, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null". Not that the configuration program must be executed from/reside in the MediaPortal folder, the execution will now end.

This is with a clean install of the 0.2 rc1 with any of the cvs from the last 3 days at least - I didnt go any farther back but it might be any of the .net 2.0 releases.

After a fresh install, the dialog usually pops up once (for lcd configuration) but then when ok is clicked the error comes up. Any subsequent attempts the error comes up when the "setup" button is pressed on the plugins config screen.

Any help on this issue?

I also have the same problem with 0.2 RC2 + CVS from 19/12.
To avoid the crash and use the external display anyway, I have switched it on in the xml config file directly.
If you need it, you can copy the display configuration from an old version.

Can you give me the name of that xml config file?
Sorry for the late reply, I'm not at home!
If I remember correctly, the file should be the MediaPortal.xml. There, almost at the end, you can enable the External Display plugin, just setting a "yes" in the right line :D
