Hello,
I'm using MP 1.1.0 Alpha. I've configured the WebEPG in the TV Server Config. The scheduler in there is not an option for me because it cannot wakeup my PC from Hibernate. So I have to use PVR-Scheduler (prefered!) or something.
The question is, how to start the WebEPG grabber from an external programm (or even manually).
In former versions there was a WebEPG.exe but in 1.1 Alpha it's not to be found :(

WebEPG is now a tvserver plugin, which means it is part of tvserver and cannot be run standalone. However I do not understand why you cannot use the scheduler to wake up your PC from hibernate, how does it wake up for scheduled recordings?

For recordings I use PVR Scheduler.
There is an option to awake the PC for EPG grabbing (which can run a programm or script).
Until now it's only an idea of mine that the WebEPG-plugin-scheduler cannot wakeup my PC. I will try it out.

    Obviously it doesn't. :(
So probably seamless integration of some pvrs features would be a great thing.

    You have two options:
    1. Enable PowerScheduler plugin on TvServer (it is needed so that WebEPG can wake up the PC). You don't have to set PowerSchedulerto hibernate/suspend the PC, just enable the "Wake up for EPG grabbing" and configure the grabbing schedule.
    2. Use WebEPG's own scheduler (available since 1.1.0 beta 1) to schedule when WebEPG will run, and configure PVR Scheduler so the the PC is awake at that time. I am not familiar with PVR Schedule so I don't know if this is possible and how well it will work.

AW: external start of WebEPG (MP 1.1.0)

    Hi.

    Having the same problem here.
I want to run WebEPG download from outside MP but the standalone exe has disappeared in 1.1.0.
Is there no way to trigger the download from outside?

If you enable the Schedule for WebEPG but not for EPG within PowerScheduler, does the PC then wake up from hybernate/standby?
If not is a missing download caught up when you start the PC later manually (Saying you have configured 10:00 where the PC was off and switched it on at 8:00 the next day)?

    Thanks
    Regards
    grubi.

Using a recent SVN, WebEPG has its own scheduling. You do not need to schedule EPG in PowerScheduler, but you do have to enable PowerScheduler so that WebEPG can wake the system up.

WebEPG will run a missed grab asap, but IIRC only in the same day. E.g if the schedule was for 10:00 am and the system wakes up before midnight, it will run. But if it was configured for 23:00 and the system wakes up on 08:00 it won't.

AW: Re: external start of WebEPG (MP 1.1.0)

    Hi arion_p

    Thanks for your explanation.
But I still did not get it entirely.

I want WebEPG to Grab at a specific time but not to wake up the system for that.
I also want to catch up a missing grab if the system is switched on. For this it should work if checking the boxes for every day and setting the time to 0:00 o clock.

Power Scheduler is enabled in my case as I use it for auto hybernate.
So which additional checkboxes do I have to activate/deactivate to achive that if possible?

    Thanks.

If you schedule WebEPG to run on 00:00, it will run on first chance if missed. However it is not possible to configure WebEPG not to wake up for grabbing. As long as PowerScheduler is enabled and WebEPG schedule is due, the system will wake up from suspend/hibernation.
