OK, so I just set up a Mac Mini running MP for my second HTPC. Now I am dealing with an external tuner.
I couldn't find any external cards that had an IR blaster and a remote (I really wanted a Hauppauge remote since it would then work the same as the one downstairs). So I went with the WinTV USB2 (model 1020). It has the remote, and I can worry about a blaster later.
HOWEVER, MP doesn't recognize this card. Searching the forums, I see references to a WinTV USB2 and a WinTV PVR USB2. Am I entirely out of luck? Is there any way to get this to work in MP? I tried my hand at editing the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml, but I don't really know what I am doing, and am not sure this card is supported at all.
Unfortunately, I bought it reasonably cheap at a CompUSA store closing, so I can't even return it if it's wrong....
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
