Failed to learn IR - times out (1 Viewer)

Hi Aaron,

I have a problem using the "different remote" feature. I am not sure I understand the problem HKMe is having, but it might be the same.

The "IR Commands" tab works perfectly for me. But the "Different Remote" does not recognize my VCR and my set-top remotes. When pressing the remotes buttons the reciever blinks as it should, but nothing appears in the "IR Code". Using my TV remote as "Different Remote" works fine.
The "IR Commands" tab has no problem recording any of my remotes.

I suspect it may be something with the driver. I say this because it is the same with the MCE plugin in Girder. The remotes which are not recognized in "Different Remote", are also not recognized with Girder.

If there is a way of sending you the commands recorded in "IR Commands", I will be able to send you an example.

The Different Remote section cannot decode every kind of remote. It seems like you have a few remotes that are not compatible.

Girder is using the same method as the plugin, if girder can't then the plugin can't.

I will look into supporting more IR standards in the future, but I can't make any promises.

Any news on this habe the same problem as the initial poster. Also tryed the ir server without success.,
