Failed to start time shifting &pcr pid (1 Viewer)

Hi, when I try to run MY tv, a message comes up saying 'FAILED TO START TIMESHIFTING' how can I stop this and watch tv because my screen is black. Also what is a PCR pid and where can I find it.
Please help

yes I do have SP2 installed with all the auto updates but i cant find any updates for MP 0.2.2.0

With PID I presume it's the PID combo box mentioned in the Capture Cards section (first tab). This Tab is found when you edit your Capture Card (startup Configuration Media Portal\ Telivision\Capture Cards\Your TV Card\Edit. The first tab page that opens mentiones the PID. It's for enhancing picture quality. BTW: if you enable it, you won't find your digital channels... or at least: far less than usual!!

As for the Timeshifting problem... and this is perhaps a lame question: have you changed the location where you're recording your tv? Default location is your profile, and very often the profile is subject to quota or other (security) precautions which leaves MP unable to write anything...
