I've finally had success!!
The problem was I didn't install the proper codecs.
I read the instructions in this forum, and installed Intervideo WinVDR (needed) and power DVD7 (optional, but it has the best and most efficient codecs) PREVIOUSLY to the MP first configuration.
When you run MP for the first time you get a configuration wizard where you scan for analog, radio and dvb-t channels. This is where you see the small preview screen with the channels, jensnasholm. By the way, it would be nice to have a similar preview screen when you sort channels in the main MP application too (thake note of this community MP coders).
After the initial setup, I entered the MP Setup program, and configured decoders for DVD and TV (I selected Cyberlink PowerDVD7 ones for both), and configured the Intervideo encoder for PAL settings.
With this config I've been finally able to work in MP with analog video.
I had to unselect exclusive DirectX mode in the MP general Setup, because when I switched TV to full screen MP hanged, and now everything works great!!!
