found a bug.

I have a lot of movies with fanart, scrolling through one by one seems to work fine, but if i start going backwards, the fanart stops showing up and just renders as black.

i'll reproduce and post logs tomorrow if necessary

First of all thanks for a great plugin!

But I have a problem that my antivirusprogram reports many of the downloaded jpg:s as virus! I´ve never had this problem before with jpg-files.

Anyone else having this problem?

I am using AVG antivirus.

Same here, and also using AVG. Not sure why - I got round it by going directly to htbackdrops, downloading the exact same image and copied it into the fanart dir as the same name..all works fine, no virus reports so there is not a virus in the actual image.

I was thinking that maybe setting AVG to exclude the thumbs dir might be a way round it as these seem to be false positives.

Avast! does this as well, but only on Windows 7 (for me).

Hi,

I think the AVG does this if the image is "damaged" on download. Please attach a file that you get this report on so that I can verify the problem. I think this is the same issue that has been reported in the Moving Picture thread (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...found-update-unrelated-moving-pictures-60787/).

Also using AVG Free (but set to manual), I did a scan of the Skin Fanart\music folder containing around 300 files atm. Only one was reported as potential dangerous/possibly infected by virus exploit.jpeg. That file is apparently indeed damaged because I don't get a preview in Windows Explorer.
I also did an online scan of that file and around 10 of the 20 engines reported it being malicious.

About the corrupted images;

I noticed that I can have serious issues when the fanarthandler has downloaded a corrupted image. It goes all the way as far as running out of memory, crashing MP and windows 7 telling me I need to reboot to get my RAM back.
Errors will show that there's no more memory but I think in fact this is triggered by fanarthandler trying to load that broken image into memory over and over and not correctly freeing the memory when finished, but just quessing here.
When I delete the broken image all was fine again. I have had this on multiple occasions and is easily reproducable for me (just need to dump my current DB and start over, some images are always broken such as one for Red Hot Chili Peppers) so if you need me to provide logs or anything else debugging wise don't hesitate to ask.

I will test more but I did not have the problem on 1.0. I run 1.3 now but also latest svn so that might also make the difference. Will get back when I know some more.

I scan music folder with 780 jpg file in it 500 fanart downlad with the plugin ,no problem ...
i use NOD 32 Antivirus ....
