Click EDIT post, click GO ADVANCED, then click MANAGE ATTACHMENTS, then you can upload your pictures.

Upload the photo to the internet; I suggest - Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket
Then you can use the IMG tags, you can't use IMG tags around a file that is only on your harddrive, it needs an http address.

Hi jmarc,

Thank you for your feedback but this plugin does not provida any cover art. It only provides the fanart (backgrounds). Cover art are handled by MP unless the maker of your skin uses some other mean to display images. When this plugin uses Artists or Album thumbs for fanart it allways uses the *L.jpg one (the high resolution).

Hi,

I'm currently working on version 1.1 of this plugin.

Already implemented in this version is;

• Now you will get an indicator (if skinners choose to implement this) when the plugin is scraping for images. Skinner Wiki is updated with information on how to implement this feature.
• A "Start Scraper" button and progress indicator in MP Configuration. You can now start a new scrape from the configuration tool and see progress.
• Random fanart for scorecenter images is now supported. Skinner Wiki is updated with information on how to implement this feature.
• A "Display only wide images" option now exist in the MP Configuration. Check this option if you only want the plugin to display wide images (like 16:10 or 16:9 - aspect ratio >= 1.55).

Attached is two screenshots;

• Screenshot of what the new scraping indicator can look like in a skin as an example. It is up to you as skinners to choose how you want to use it in your skins, if you want to use it.
• Screenshot of what the new start scrape button looks like in MP Configuration.

Please let me know (by adding enhancement requests to the google site link) any additional features you would like to see in the plugin

I will make a 1.1 release candidate available soon (unless any issues are reported that need to be solved).

Awesome update. Perhaps the scraping message should be "scraping fanart" so there's no confusion about what's happening.

If anyone is interested in joining the Fanart Handler project as testers, then please send me a PM (please do not post requests to become test people in this forum).

Skinners or end user that uses any of the currently supported skins (see first post for list of currently supported skins) are of particular interest.

Hi cul8er, im currently integrating the fanart handler into the StreamedMP installer. I just have once question, I noticed in the config file there is an entry:

<entry name="defaultBackdrop">C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\XFactor\Media\background_default.png</entry>

Is this being used? If so I presume I should update that during the installation to be something valid.
