I would guess that you're using the MP screensaver (Configuration > General > Screensaver).
The option "Reduce framerate" could be the cause of your "issue"

Is there support for custom (user-defined) backdrop categories planned?
E.g. I create new backdrop folders for My Trailers or My Browser and tell Fanart Handler to look in those folders for the backdrops. (Of course I'd also have to set the respective items in BasicHome to use Fanart Handler)

Anyine noticed that the plugin will flash (fade out and then fade in) the default image when you navigate between items that both wont have fan art available. For example navigating music and you have two artists which both are missing fan art. Looks quite ugly when the background is flashing.

Hi there,

Another similar issue to Tourettes, it appears if there is only one piece of fanart, it fades in/out the one item (unless I have two identical fanarts?)

I have seen that happen as well. Not sure if the plugin has downloaded the same fan art twice or is it fading between the same image actually.
